Description
Stortorget, Ystad, Sweden. December 19th, 2009 - first time in 6 years the snow has come this early (and this plentiful). Up until 2002 or 2003, this region (the Swedish south coast) has commonly had an average of 90 days of snow during winter. The past 6 or 7 years, changing dramatically in just one winter, the average has been less than 14 days, with temperatures of up to 10 degrees Celsius in December and January. |
