Seljalandsfoss, one of the higher waterfalls in Iceland, though it has little water. A path at the bottom of the cliff makes it possible to walk behind the fall. The waterfall and its surroundings are floodlit at night. Seljaland, a farm where many small caves are to be found, one of them Kverkarhellir, previously used for official gatherings. Above the farm is the cave Seljalandshellir, sometimes called Papahellir, where there are many ancient remains, and cross marks in the tuff walls, near the highway.
